Tales & Frames is a course about building worlds and exploring your own. It is designed for young creators who are eager to understand themselves, develop their voice, and find their place in the world. Role-playing games provide a safe, imaginative space for self-discovery while cultivating creative thinking, confidence, and teamwork skills.
Throughout the course participants will use RPG sessions as inspiration for their own animation projects.
Story Development: each student will design a character, create a scenario, and develop a storyboard based on their role-play experience.
Visual Design: students will craft their character as a drawing or clay model and build a setting for their animated scene.
Stop-Motion Filming: using a stop-motion app, they will bring their ideas to life frame by frame.
Sound & Editing: the final stage will involve recording voice-overs, adding sound effects, and editing the footage to produce a complete short film.
By the end of the course each participant will have a finished short animation film - ready to share on social media or include in a creative portfolio for future studies. More importantly, they will gain skills in storytelling, project planning, visual design, and creative problem-solving - essential tools for today’s world.
Join one session to design your character, create their backstory and immerse them into the game. (available only once as a trial)
